During her tenure, a significant focus of her work was on educational legislation and governance in Meghalaya. She contributed to drafting various university bills for the State Government’s consideration, with particular attention to reviewing and updating existing statutory frameworks. This included examining the replacement of legacy Assam Acts with the Meghalaya Private Universities Regulations Act, 2019, and reviewing the MBOSE Act, 1973, to align it with contemporary policy requirements. She was also part of the team involved in drafting the rules for the Meghalaya Grant-in-Aid for Primary and Secondary Educational Institutions Bill, 2025. This work extended beyond legislative drafting to include direct engagement and collaboration with school administrators to understand the practical implications of financial aid mechanisms and ensure that the proposed framework addressed ground-level needs.
In addition to her legislative responsibilities, she conducted research for the Department of Parliamentary Affairs and the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) on the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), exploring ways to integrate broader development targets into departmental functioning.
